Pork Ribs in Red Beans

My menu was KBL (kadyos, baboy and langka) a famous Ilonggo dish but no time to go to the market for some langka (jack fruit) so I went ahead and cooked it anyway. Surprising but it did taste really good.
Ingredients:
1 lb pork ribs cut into pieces
1 cup red beans
6-8 pieces kamias (iba)(optional)
1 bundle lemon grass
1 medium size tomato
1 small onion
1 tablespoon Knorr Sinigang Mix
ground black pepper and salt to taste
Cooking Direction:
Boil red beans till half way cooked then add the slices of pork ribs, lemon grass, onion and tomatoes . Continue boiling till beans and pork are almost cooked.
Add the kamias and continue to boil till meat and beans are fully cooked.
Season with Sinigang Mix, ground black pepper and salt to taste.
Remove from heat serve.

Lapaz Bakery and Madge Cafen, Iloilo City

No one can beat this coffee house inside Lapaz Public Market. Made fresh to fit your taste.
I am not a regular coffee drinker (I drink decaf) but I have to have the regular blend and believe me a day after I made a special trip back to this place just for the coffee.

Order your coffee using the empty can as your cup

I had my coffee with Brazos de Ube from Lapaz Bakery

The Ube Brazos was so good

Drop by Lapaz Market on your next Iloilo trip and don't forget to grab some of this. Great pasalubong for the family.

This is were they make their coffee.
