Double Cranberries-Apples Sauce

This you have to prepare the day before. You want to serve this chilled.
Stir together the first 5 ingredients (see below) in a large saucepan, bring to a boil over medium-high heatm stirring often. Reduce heat, simmer, stirring often, 15 minutes or until cranberries pop and mixture starts to thicken. Remove from heat and stir in sweetened dried cranberries.Remove from heat and transfer in a bowl.
Cool, cover and chill until ready to serve.

Serving for six you will need;
3 granny smith apples (peeled and diced)
6 oz. fresh cranberries
1/2 lemon (sliced and seeded)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup sweetened dried cranberries

Hmm...looks interesting! Why not? We're so used with cranberry sauce alone...this time with apples! What an interesting combination, Cecil! Tell me, does apple cancels out the tartness of cranberry? Just curious.

Lee not really. It really makes the sauce really tangy. You have to try this one. My family loves it. Goes well with the ham.
